I specialize in helping people recover from chronic pain and workplace injuries, as well as working with people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia and their caregivers. Relief from pain, tension, and stress increases one's sense of well-being. Also, people with Alzheimer's and dementia and elders often do not get the touch that is needed in one's life. I have gotten great response from people with all of these conditions or positions in life. I can help reverse injuries caused by repetitive motion, poor posture, and poor lifting habits. I cannot do this in one hour, but you must make a commitment to see me frequently until the injury is remedied, then continue with regularly scheduled maintenance massages.

BENEFITS OF GETTING REGULAR MASSAGE TREATMENTS
Some may think that one massage will cure them of pain that they've been experiencing for years or may wait until their pain is extreme before getting a massage.
For improved quality of life due to pain reduction, one should get a massage that incorporates trigger point work at least once a week until the pain is managed (usually 6 to 8 weeks), then cut back to once every 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Getting consistent work helps the body to work out daily stresses and physical compromises (such as sitting at a desk all day, working on a computer or doing other repetitive-motion work) and prevents one from getting to the point of intense pain.

NEVER HAD A MASSAGE BEFORE?
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT:
Come prepared to relax and have your stress, aches, and pains melt away.
I will ask you to fill out a brief intake form so that I can get information about what's going on with you and to inform you about my policies. Feel free to ask me any questions that you may have.
When I leave the room, you will undress either completely or down to your underwear and lie down on the table under the sheet. I will knock before entering.
I will expose only that part of your body that I am massaging (e.g., back, arm, leg) and am extremely careful with my draping techniques - meaning that your private parts will never be exposed. Please feel free to inform me if you would like more or less pressure.
I usually begin work on the back, spending at least a half hour there, then I massage the back of your legs, have you turn over, then massage the front of your legs, your arms, neck, upper chest, and head.
I will let you know when the session is over and leave the room. You can take your time getting up, being careful to not get up quickly because your blood pressure will be lower and it is possible to become dizzy. Drink the water that I provide for you and be sure to drink plenty throughout the day because massage releases bound-up toxins from your muscles, and water helps to flush them out quicker.
Some people experience aches and rarely even flu-like systems a day after a massage. This could mean that the massage was too deep for you. I am careful to not go too deep if you are not on a regular massage program.
